  • I don’t think that’s really the same. The repackaging of Wii U games was because the Switch’s install base was several times larger than the Wii U’s, so they could sell them to people who had never played them before. The “Switch 2 Edition” updates are a way to try to extract some extra money from people who already played the games, but they’re not going to fulfill the same strategic goals as, say, Mario Kart 8 DX, partly because they aren’t going to sell as much, and partly because most of the people who buy them will already own the game and therefore only pay the upgrade price. I think from a strategic standpoint they’re basically filler.

  • Wait did I misunderstand what bikeshedding is? I thought it was the phenomenon where people who have input on project management, but not the skills/background/inclination to wrestle with the hard parts of the project, tend to focus on peripheral issues that they understand better. So, for example, a committee that is supposed to be planning a new hospital spends meeting after meeting arguing about the particulars of the construction of the bike shed, but just rubber stamps the first suggestion they get regarding OR floor plans or whatever, because the committee members can all understand bike sheds but most of them don’t use operating rooms.

If the problem is that you’re thinking of buying a new laptop, it doesn’t seem like bikeshedding to spend time thinking about what kind of laptop you’d like.

  • Yes, she’ll heal on this because it’s a special type of block, and she heals on blocked hits. You need to use a real parry, like you find on shields, etc., and that does reduce the number of parryable attacks (regular parry does not work against Waterfowl Dance, for example).

She is purposefully built to make you dodge (although I have seen a Youtube video of her being defeated with a tank build and no dodging, with the help of a Spirit Ash to get her pinned against the wall). The easiest way to avoid Waterfowl is to sprint directly away from her, which will work as long as she isn’t too close to you when she initiates the attack. It doesn’t look very heroic, but it’s about 100x easier than rolling, which has to be done in a very specific way to avoid the third flurry.

  • When I need to eat but don’t want to put in any effort: half a cup of rice, half a cup of lentils, two cups stock (I use veggie stock, but you can use chicken, beef, etc.) Season with whatever you have in your spice drawer that looks good. Bring the water to a boil then lower the heat to low and let it simmer covered for 20-ish minutes. It’s bland but filling, lentils provide protein, it’s ready in less time than it would take to get delivery, and you don’t have to watch it. Rice and lentils will keep in your cabinet forever. You can get stock paste or boullion that keeps a long time too.

You can still have two beers, but now you’re not drinking on an empty stomach.
