

Just east of the intersection of FM 455 and Fritcher Road.
That entire section looks awful. 1100 feet of road with barely any shoulder, much less a separate bike lane.
Oh, but of course there’s an entire two lanes worth of somewhat well-kept grass on the south face, because naturally the greenery is more important than overall commuter safety.
All of FM 455 eastbound to Pilot Point has room for bike paths as laid out by Design Sheet V2 or V16 in the CROW manual. The pair of bridges adds some complexity, but even that can be solved with lighter versions of the existing bridges tacked on to the sides.













It still blows my mind when I look at Dutch intersections in Google’s street view. They managed to fit cars, bike lanes, and even commuter trains into their intersections without any issue.
