Obviously, if over-perscription is a problem and medical professionals are the ones prescribing these meds, it needs to be allowed to point to deprecated beliefs these people have.
You all are acting, as if everyone that points to this error is recommending that sick people should stop taking their meds.

Exactly. I never said anything about the layperson. Trained medicals on the other hand should be required to update their knowledge.

Nah, confirmation bias is strong in here.
Everyone is acting as if we are advocating for the people to decide on their own to stop talking medication.
What we are doing is presenting information that contradict their beliefs. People hate that, so they create a strawman and attack that…

The non-medically trained person? They should not! The medically trained person on the other hand, should question and update their training, shouldn’t they?

You are absolutely right. People should trust their doctors, but doctors should also update their knowledge.

Where in my post did I say that patients should decide on their own to stop taking medication?
I tried to share some information, that show nothing is black and white and only because something is believed by many, that something can still be wrong.

Funny how these “assumptions” are proven wrong but still everyone regurgitates them.
Don’t eat eggs, because they increase your cortisol… is another one of these myths

Let me ruffle all your feathers: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6736742/

In short, you can just copy your whole system, you can use rsync, cp or dd. Two things need to be taken care of:
uefi boot needs to be working (copy uefi partition from old drive or reinstall with grub from live iso)
partitions in /etc/fstab need to be configured correctly
Everything else ist just the files and configs. Prefer using rsync -A over cp. In Linux everything is a file, except /dev and /procfs
Don’t forget to fix hostname and network config if not using network manager.
Your idea should work no problem btw. though, since uefi and fstab is taken care of by the previous clean install. You should probably not overwrite fstab in that case IMHO.

These are valid concerns, I still value my privacy way more then 4k resolution in some shows and not being able to use unsecure wifi.
My TV isn’t connected to the Internet for the past 4 years no problems here and you can easily set a password on your hotspot if you need one.
Well, I see your pain, but this being the reason to give in is stupid in my opinion. Privacy is worth fighting for but people will only start to realize that, when they don’t have any and it’s too late.

They are all more or less the same chinese products with different cases, but it’s pretty cheap
It doesn’t work as well as the Wii controller since it uses the accelerometer, but you get used to it. The keyboard on the backside too, works for urls and some searching but you most likely don’t want to type longer texts with it.

In this day and age, why even use that smart tv shit?
I switched to an old PC connected to HDMI and a mouse that works like a wii controller. Firefox with AdBlock, audible, Spotify no problem at all here.
I think only tech illiterate people should even consider using smart tv, everyone else: get back you autonomy ffs, there are alternatives to that crab

10.000 in lol, 1.000 in dota, currently. I feel you. On the other hand, haven’t watched tv in 12 years

Funniest thing.: the Mac client also doesn’t support Kernel anti cheat, but it still works. Fuck riot, I’m glad I ditched it.

Same for me but I switched to dota; im not healthier

I instinctively thought about Uli Stein, but your suggestion eems more plausible. I’m wondering why both matching artists are german though
Matches my observation. Wasted 2 1/2 days creating some script with the help of AI. After nothing worked and I realized I’m just pasting shit into the prompt without thinking I scraped everything and did it again just using my brain.
20 mins later I had a working solution that was only a few lines of code.
Fuck AI
