And literally Shinji’s dad behind all of them :)
I think it’s a picture of a right hand taken from the right, not a left hand like the angle would imply, that’s why it looks off.

Thank you b4too - unless something new has been uncovered - which if so should be reported to us via our responsible disclosure policy - it is NOT possible to arbitrarily enumerate all media on a server without authentication, and saying as much is massive fear-mongering
Sneezycat@sopuli.xyzto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Suggestion request: Self-hosted app for shared directories like google driveEnglish1·10 days agoUnfortunately that doesn’t seem possible, afaik. Although you could always create a zip file with a password, and share it with an open link (anyone with the link can download it, no need for account).
Sneezycat@sopuli.xyzto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Suggestion request: Self-hosted app for shared directories like google driveEnglish3·10 days agoMaybe something like xbackbone? I’ve used it to share small-ish files and it works fine; I don’t know how much of a pain it would be to use for a group of people, but as long as everyone has an account they should be able to access files with a link.
How dare you call my laptop a “phone” /s
(btop on the left)
Also, thanks for the tip, I just used voyager’s formatting cause I was on my phone :'D
btop
is nice and I use it sometimes; buthtop
, my beloved, doesn’t complain about the screen size being too small. And it’s more visual for me anyways.

Sneezycat@sopuli.xyzto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you use poweroff or suspend on your Linux systems? Why?5·15 days agoI use suspend-then-hibernate on my laptop (arch). It has a Nvidia graphics card, so it gives problems sometimes, but it mostly works fine.
I set it up like that in case I disconnect the laptop, so it will hibernate before running out of battery; it will also hibernate after 16h of being suspended (to save power), but I usually turn it back on before that.
I like suspending because my laptop has an HDD, and it is way faster to turn it back on this way.
Sneezycat@sopuli.xyzto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you use poweroff or suspend on your Linux systems? Why?5·15 days agoMaybe there’s not a huge difference, but the power usage of suspending is definitely lower, since only the RAM is getting power. CPU and disks have some idle power consumption, and you can have some background processes that wouldn’t be executed while suspended.

Sneezycat@sopuli.xyzto Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes@lemmy.zip•[Discussion] Was the second half of DS1 really as bad as people claim it is?English10·26 days agoLost Izalith, one of the most lore-heavy areas in the game, the birthplace of demons and chaos, has a bunch of copypaste demon legs surrounded by blinding lava. It had the potential to be a very cool map, but it’s straightforward and not really that interesting, save for a couple things. The boss is considered one of the, if not the worst all-time fromsoft boss. So yeah, you can tell it was rushed.
Other areas don’t feel as rushed, like The Duke’s Archives, or the Tomb of Giants, but I can see people disliking those for the navigation challenges.
To me, everything after O&S just feels too linear compared to the start of the game. You get the lordvessel, making backtracking unnecessary, and the areas you have to visit feel more like 4 linear paths, instead of a semi-open world, since there are no alternative paths (like the depths/new londo/darkroot -> blightown) or crazy shortcuts (like the parish -> back to firelink).
So yeah, I don’t enjoy the last half as much, but it’s for game design reasons as well as lack of polish, although one could argue that the “worse” (imo) game design is in part due to a lack of polish too.
I was going to say how this looks like a Cowboy Bebop knockoff, but it’s directed by Shinichiro Watanabe…
