Kringwinkels are a goldmine for stuff like this. We oftentimes get crates at a time, chockful of Weck jars, canning jars, and the ones with the rubber seal and metal wire closing mechanism. We can’t get rid of them fast enough because (almost) no one will buy them, even at 50 cents.
If your local Kringwinkel doesn’t seem to have any, ask the staff, chances are they’re immediately recycling them rather than having them collect dust on the shelves.

There’s plenty of chemicals that either don’t have a taste, or are harmful at concentrations we aren’t able to detect by taste. I’m not saying they’re in plastic necessarily, but they definitely exist.

I don’t think you can reasonably fault the person asking for more information of being lazy, when the OP could be considered equally lazy for not including the context in the first place, right?

I like to think it’s a good thing, in the sense that it’s indicative of more users leaving Reddit and generally supporting the Go European mindset. I hope veteran Lemmy users are kind and gracious to the new people, it can only help grow the userbase that much faster.
