buy it the same place you buy your radium!
edit: this is a joke, I do not possess radioactive material

I got this much:
Wir haben ein seriöses Problem mit den politischen Entwicklungen [???] und ich hoffe, dass dies in den kommenden Tagen gelöst[?] werden kann
So like 85% understandable 😁

Yes - but will it become a permanent crutch? That’s the double edged sword. A necessary risk, of course.

Maybe that’s actually the right approach, counter-intuitively. Though it does make me wonder how many devs actually test against Proton, versus just taking the lazy option and saying it’s Windows only. Officially stating they support Proton would go a long way to help justify the lack of a native port.

My experience so far is that it already is! Most of the titles I play (admittedly not cutting edge), I get 5-10% higher framerates running under Proton-GE on Fedora than I do natively on windows. Pretty wild to think about.

Cool but I wonder if the Linux initiative is almost a victim of Proton’s success, as even previously Linux friendly studios like Paradox have stopped supporting it natively in recent titles.
since OP appears to be one of Ze Germans, i’m going to take the charitable interpretation that they were probably not aware of the connotation

As an Apple shareholder, I’d just like to thank Microsoft for their outstanding contribution to selling more Macs.

But most users never need to open it because Apple at least tests their OS before yeeting it into prod, unlike this hot mess.

It makes me so fucking angry and sad that my good-hearted father passed away at 74 but this cunt is still ticking at 79, and making millions of peoples’ lives worse.

Reading this as a self hoster: god damn it, is there ANOTHER fucking instance I need to defederate?

We generally don’t want to defederate .ml, except when they post anything, or comment on anything, or vote on anything. It’s just those times that we think about it.

If the performance and price is comparable to rolling your own mini-ITX rig then why not?

Your second paragraph explains exactly why they’re all so horny for AI.

I think the “friendly” distros like Linux Mint with built-in driver detection/management and pretty broad package repositories (surfaced as an “App Store”) are probably to the point where many normal people could use them, without significantly more technical chops than Windows. Particularly as a gaming rig where you basically just need Firefox, LibreOffice and Steam.

That’s enough internet for me today

Windows is becoming so trash that a bunch of my not-that-tech-savvy friends have been hitting me up asking about gaming on various Linux distros. (Just a few years ago it was all “Linux? Haha nerd”.) And the non gamers are switching to Mac at a remarkable rate.
And things have progressed so well that even for the non-technical crew, after installing Mint and showing them how to use ProtonPlus to install and select Proton-GE, they’re pretty much off to the races without much further hand holding.

Lol. Yes, but also, even with the typo it wasn’t that wrong

Hi, I’m colourblind, but I’m assuming the joke is that the colours in the legend are unrelated to the colours in the chart. Right?
