Honest answer: doesn’t matter. Recommendation letters are basically yes/no letters. You either think the person will do a good job or you don’t. A ‘no’ letter just says ‘I know this person. They existed around me for a time. Please consider them’. A ‘yes’ letter says good things about that time existing.
If you have a good thing to say, cite a specific example so they know it’s an honest yes, but the real test here is just whether or or not the prof has enough rapport with students to drum up some earnest ‘yes’ letters, so don’t sweat it.

So, no surprise everyone is focusing on that, and not the human aspect here.
This is a technology community and the article is specifically about a security breach that exposed massive amounts of sensitive user data.

Stop looking at other people’s answers. Every time I ever looked out instead of in for the next big step it ended up being a gigantic mistake that blew up in my face.

You should pay more attention because we’ve already been doing that this whole time.

If you can’t understand why voting against things that only pretend to help without actually changing anything might be a good idea, there is no point in continuing to talk about it.

Reducing the 11 figure amount by less than a tenth is a useless gesture, yes.

Username checks out.

I must have read a different tweet.

Yes which is why AOC should have voted for the amendment to not send weapons to Israel
Except that’s not what the amendment did, it only stopped some money for a portion of particular types of weapons.

Your assertion is that there is no distinction between offensive and defensive weapons. If that is true then any allowance of any weapons is a continued support of genocide. Another way: any bill that still allows some weapon types is functionally useless at preventing genocide.

If there is truly no difference, then only disallowing some munitions is a completely useless gesture.

At his age with his lifestyle and diet? Dude has CHF fullstop
Look, I know the world will be a better place without this clown, but this just isn’t how health risk works. Most smokers don’t get lung cancer. Most drinkers don’t get liver disease. Most people who die young don’t have any especially unhealthy habits. Life just isn’t fair in this way and pretending it is denigrates a lot of good people who are suffering.

Yeah it’s a truly minor issue especially with how egregious everything else is these days, but it’s still a real and legitimate issue regardless of your feelings on sex work or equity or fairness.

Its even worse, because they’re shaming him for her nude photos.

Maybe your wife’s choice of career has fuck all to do with how good of a person you are. Since she’s not property and you don’t control her, yeah?

My gripe was always the administration of closed primaries. If the parties want closed primaries they can damn well buy their own machines and pay their own poll workers. If it’s paid for with public money, then the public should be able to vote.
Sort of. I got a biology degree which meant I spent a lot of time in and out of class with “pre med” students. It was a program my school was known for and significant portion of the student population. Of the 100 or so students I saw daily my senior year more than half are now doctors. And about of quarter of them do shit like this.
They aren’t dumber or richer than anyone else, they just realized that you can gather a very large pile of money by selling bullshit to rubes.
