  • I live in a major metropolitan center and the farmers market downtown happens once a week.

The price can actually be quite good but you have to have reasonable expectations. If you see strawberries and there are snow banks outside well… Do the math. On the flip side if something’s in season you can often get a good deal.

A farmer’s market is not a grocery store so it does require a bit of savvy. If you see apples and it’s June those are probably last year’s apples from cold storage etc.

  • On a personal level sure, but this isn’t a job for a random one man operation.

At the top level you need a business and as much as business leaders love Trump (who doesn’t love a useful idiot) they would never risk their bottom line for it.

All that and the fact that you would likely need a whole bunch of credentials to be building parts of the white house, or at least you likely used to.

  • They do, however a lot of people have known that for a while.

The large index funds have a lot of influence when it comes to voting.

As more and more people just invest in ETFs I do wonder if we are headed for some delightful market crash as a result.

I’m not even close to an expert though… Which is why I use index funds in the first place. Just wondering how I’m going to get screwed before it eventually happens.

  • That has been true for a while. Ever since “the adpocalypse”. I’m surprised you missed it because it felt like every YouTube creator was complaining about it for an entire year ( which I’m not really against, I just don’t give a shit about YouTube inside baseball).

That’s why every video now has " brought to you by… Whatever" in the middle of it.
