Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Why does every commercial depiction of honey involve one of this things? Literally nobody has ever seen one of these in real life
1·10 days agoHonestly, no. I only ever have singular moths or ladybirds or stinkbugs that fly in when I open the window. They’re easy to catch and set outside. Some spiders here and there. Maybe house flies in the summer, but not too many.
I’ve read about protecting your sugar from ants on the internet, but have never heard about that from people irl and never seen the need for it.
I live in a brick house, not a wood frame house, which might be the explanation.

33·10 days agoI’ve only ever had like a single ant that came in when i opened the door. I would then pick it up and set it outside or sometimes kill it. I never had a whole line of ants enter my house and I’m certain they can’t.
As a christian, I’m a lot angrier at the insatiable consumerism than at a fir tree.

By brand restaurant, you mean chain restaurant?
Life experience. In my experience, men are generally speaking more confidently incorrect. On the internet I see this trait most often with US Americans, regardless of skin colour. In real life, I see it often with consumers of tabloids or russian news.

11·14 days agoI don’t think exactly. As I understand: let’s say Italy is holding US debt. This debt has a certain value as long as the US economy is good because then there is a chance of repayment. So as long as Italy holds US debt, it’s interested in having trade with the US or generally being invested in the US economy to keep up the value of their debt.
If they let go of the debt they would have less interest in keeping the US economy up. They would pr stop encouraging their Italian companies to buy American machines/goods/services.
Something like that.

5·16 days agoI don’t know exactly what you’re talking about, as it is way off topic and I couldn’t find anything on it in this article.
But if you’re referring to the Tesla gigafactory in Brandenburg, that’s a different state, different state government making the decisions.
All in all: non-sequitur.

Now this is just a feeling, not a fact.
When I watch British talk shows, I have way less of a problem understanding i. e. Scottish accents than the American guests.
I think, foreign language learners of English might be better at understanding different accents, because they’re not locked into one. Or maybe I’m a special little boy idk
