Fun fact: English poet Alexander Pope had a great Dane named Bounce. Pope was a well known satirist and was also a short man, and he would not leave his house without bounce by his side. He also wrote a poem called “From Bounce to Fop”, a satirical letter from his dog to the king’s dog.
