My dog and I were attacked last year by an off-leash dog while walking our neighborhood. Both myself and the other owner had to provide proof of rabies vaccination to animal control. Their dog drew blood on me and mine punctured the other dog’s ear while defending me. If they couldn’t provide proof, or if there was history of previous human bites the dog would have been put down. In my state, anyway.

The vaccine I usually hear people turning down out here is the rattlesnake venom vaccine.

My mom made that once, and was forbidden from ever doing so again! It was usually Mac and cheese with hotdogs or meatloaf in my house. And, no vegetables which is weird because my mom was a vegetarian

I have sometimes (often, who’s kidding?) made vegan Mac N cheese with those fabulous lightlife hotdogs as an adult, totally followed in my mom’s footsteps xD. But I generally like to have bell pepper, onion, and swisschard/mustard greens mixed in because I’m not actually my mom

By the time I was a teenager I had some idea that what was happening to me wasnt “normal” but I didn’t understand just how bad it was until I was an adult. My peers would sometimes stare in shock at what I was complaining about, but I think if an adult had tried to intervene I might have understood the severity of my parent’s actions.
