I love these, even though I know one day I will trip and fall into the marsh. It hasn’t happened yet, but I know it will.
It’s for scientific purposes!
Just call 'em seaturtles and landturtles like other Germanic languages. Then you can just ask them how they identify and throw them wherever is best suited.

Creepy Wikipedia@lemmy.world•John Allen Chau - American missionary who prepared for his meeting with the Sentinelese by training in a mock village populated by staff pretending to be hostile natives wielding fake spearsEnglish

Shitty Life Pro Tip@lemmy.world•SLPT: A spool of network cable can hold 1GB of internet traffic per meter. Leave one plugged in to save up internet for when the power goes out.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you ask for "tea" at a restaurant, what happens and where do you live?
1·2 years agoNetherlands: you get asked what kind, or hot water with a box teabags to pick from.
Iced tea is a seperate thing entirely.
