Does that slot work as a cock rest when riding naked? Must be comfortable.

That’s 125 Florida ounces if you’re from Florida

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Art project about a cloud connected pan that has a moisture sensor in its handle and charges per wash. If the sensor breaks they sue you for breaking the digital lock.
2·2 months agoWhen the solenoid releases the handle it should then weld the lock mechanism so it couldn’t be tampered with.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Unlike quartz analogue watches (compared to mechanical watches) regular pencils do not contain moving parts (the narrowest definition of "mechanism"), while mechanical pencils do.
2·2 months agoMaybe regular pencil would contain moving parts if it was a quartz analogue pencil?

Hollow Knight: Silksong@redlemmy.com•What has been your experience with Crests?
1·3 months agoI use too much reaper’s because the pogo is easier and I can gather more silk which I use mostly for healing. Basically the same problem I had in Hollow Knight. I mostly heal and don’t use soul or silk for anything else. At least in Silksong I occasionally use tools.

2·5 months agoPretty much. Please, make yourself comfortable as you come for table.
I still have rif on my phone for it’s sentimental value. Two years ago it took a while to get used to opening Connect for Lemmy instead of rif.

AssholeDesign@lemmy.world•Paid for MS Excel out of the goodness of my heart so now I get this popup every 2 hours...English
1·7 months agoGoodness gracious. I hope you eventually got rid of the popup.
I sometimes wonder why some programmers don’t use vim. Aren’t they lazy enough to be bothered about unnecessary work and “friction” you have to deal with when using ordinary editors. I’d rather do the interesting parts of the job and command the computer to do the rest. Of course the communication with the computer has to be as concise, as effortless, and as easy as possible.
Recently I started to workout more often. I didn’t even notice the calluses before this problem. Seems it’s the lat pull-downs where it mostly occurs.

Technology@lemmy.world•Battle of the dirt-cheap tablets: Amazon Fire HD 8 vs. Walmart Onn 8English
1·10 months agoThere are a host of other deliberate annoyances Amazon has created to make sure the tablet is used for their purpose rather than your own.
Do you have some examples? Sounds both horrible and interesting.
I like to read this word the same American way Louis Rossmann once said it if it’s written like this. If it’s written smörgåsbord my inner voice gets a Swedish accent.
I still sometimes think of pillars of one building when I think of concept of “tomorrow” because seeing those pillars was supposedly the first time in my childhood when I heard about “tomorrow”.

1·2 years agoHappy cake day! I just also recently had mine. There must be dozens of us who joined this time last year. Unfortunately RiF never became a Lemmy client but Connect for Lemmy is good.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•It must confuse English learners to hear phrases like, "I'm home", instead of "I am at home." We don't say I'm school, or I'm post office.
10·2 years agoYes it does. I think it’s that way because it’s in locative case even though it doesn’t make the word itself look any different. English sort of has cases and doesn’t.
It works similarly in Latin. You don’t say ad domum. You only say domum.
You mean collage? I agree. I think your suggestion would work best if it was also made to look like an obvious collage. If it was accurately photoshopped to look like the penguins were actually there it would look silly.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•You don't really see people chewing gum anymore.
0·2 years agoI see people in this thread complaining about fake sugar and someone mentioned chewing gum with real sugar. I’m just wondering do they sell xylitol gum in America? I see no point in chewing gum if it’s not even healthy for teeth.

I agree your example sounds pretty stupid, like they didn’t even bother to read. But I just wanted to say that I’m not very good at describing myself and would rather get to know people and let people know me by talking to me. So maybe it’s just not that easy for everyone to describe and look up descriptions.
