I would like to use part of my income to set up a regular monthly charitable donation. I have a couple of charities in mind but really I don’t know where the money would be best spent to make a worthwhile difference.
My first thought was Cancer Research UK, but I don’t really think my few quid a month will affect their £700m budget at all. Any smaller ones of good reputation?
Call me selfish, but my little amount of money spare gets donated to the guys who’ll most likely save my dumb arse when if and when I screw up - the RNLI, my local Air Ambulance, and the local cancer charity that’s helped my mum. Considering how many of my mates have benefited from the help of the first two, and my mum the last one, I think I’m getting a pretty good return on my investment.
