I don’t think anyone knows what Stockholm Syndrome is, as it’s just a concept and isn’t recognized as real because it’s usually just used as a blanket term thrown around when people don’t actually know what the specific underlying issues are.

Huh? It’s the notion of captives forming a bond with their captors. People are using it to convey that simple psychological concept. It’s “usually” used for that purpose.

I think you missed the point of the response and should look into the scientific evidence for Stockholm syndrome.

            syndrome
a group of symptoms which consistently occur together, or a condition characterized by a set of associated symptom

            LGTM.

Just grouping symptoms. Not implying the assumption of any cause.

The problem arises when people start considering this one name to be good enough as a diagnosis.

I think it appears you’ve missed the point of my response, wherein the existence of “scientific evidence” for Stockholm Syndrome is unimportant; The phrase “Stockholm Syndrome” being a part of vernacular meant to convey the notion of captives forming bonds with their captors is helpful for communication irrespective of the existence or veracity of a psychological diagnosis related to the phrase. The point of their response was defeatism through judgment and their own superiority.

Do you own your house? or do you still pay a mortgage?

Do you own your car? or do you still pay for it through the bank?

Do you have debt you can’t finish paying until the day you die?

Then you are you not a capitalist because you own nothing … you own no capital.

Organize, most obviously via unions and mutual aid networks. Lefties have a lot to say about how to fight back against capitalism; it’s just that nobody listens to them.

America has had consistent violent and non violent protests from the 2000s on. I’ve gone.

Uh… They did work, unless you think labor laws and standards are the same as they were in the late 19th century. Then the workers of America stopped organizing so obviously it stopped working.

Interesting because I watched the American government in my time completely ignore every protest ever.

Black and brown people are targeted more than ever, queer people are immensely unsafe currently, labor laws are sliding backwards with children dying in meat factories and guns are still killing kids.

What did we accomplish exactly? Not much in over a century

Did the bad orange man not crumble due to relentless strolling in the streets with a sign?
Remorseless interpretative dance or defiant acts of putting up stickers!?
You don’t get change by asking nicely.
But it’s clear you will fail.

Lmfao this has been the case for almost a century you dummy. Just cause you can’t keep track of history doesn’t mean everyone else does.

How’d Occupy Wall Street go? Really far I bet.

How about the countless marches for climate change, gun laws, LGBTQ rights, the classic woman’s march. Nothing.

You wanna be a little shit and act like there isn’t enough violent protests in America? Go look up any video of any Black lives matter protests there’s numerous levels of violence people have had to endure and express.

You’re clueless you sit on here and talk shit but know nothing. Dip your mouth in my ass the next time you wanna speak about something you have no clue about.

Meanwhile what country are you from? Bet you guys are loving it up right now lmfao

It’s a good anawer but too vague. What he means is that you need to start discerning between the shit that they want you to believe that will make you rich for example work 3 jobs, invest in stocks, crypto. And start doing things that are really in you best interests like learn to cook linstead of buying always from takeover, learn a trade (I’m trying to learn to sew myself), get a good phone that last you years instead of a shit hyped one, install linux, stop chasing trends and fast fashion etc… Yeah it looks like that new type commie feminist hipster life but it’s happening for a reason is people trying to unplug the lifewire of predatory capitalism that drives you crazy and depressed.

If the actions you’re engaging in result in a gain for the capital class, stop doin’ it. Stop enriching the capital class. Stahp it!

A couple examples like: working for lower wages, allowing them to collect and share your data, engaging in needless consumerism, blah blah blah.

The point is, they are few and they are united in their shared interests. It’s time we, as the many, do the same.

If you’re looking for a revolution you’ll probably be disappointed friend. We’re more likely to see change in the world by interacting with our own community. Be there for our neighbors, even if it’s just to shoot the shit.

Mutual aid and all that hippy shit is what’s unironically gonna change things. My take is just not to take it too seriously and just be a good person.
