Unfortunately vegan pizza isn’t the same. It’s one of the foods that’s not quite the same without real cheese. So I mostly abstain, sometimes I try the vegan cheeses but they’re not good imo

It’s quite possible that the best food I’ve ever had was a pizza. But I’ve also had some pizza that’s worse than gristly chicken on Wonderbread.

Bread, meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables all in one deliciously foldable package. What’s not to love? It’s the perfect food.
Well then technically calzone is the perfect food as it eliminates one of your requirements
Calzones are pretty awesome, but it’s not quite the same when the toppings are not exposed to the oven to get crisped up / browned as they would on a pizza.
Cheese and pepperoni especially just hit different on a well-cooked pizza!

The best pizza I’ve had is still a far cry from say French dishes, or Cajun (which has French and Carribean roots), or something Jamaican.
If I never had pizza again, that would be fine with me.
Which French dishes?
The best I can think of are actually Italian, Swiss or English dishes co-opted by the French and the rest are extremely average, but French food culture is very good which a lot of people seem to confuse with the actual dishes being good
